Full Platform Guide By Role
New User / Seeker Guide
- Start without an account by reading Learn, Curious, First 30 Days, Welcome Kit, Visiting a Masjid, and Resources.
- Learn includes a roadmap, learning paths, keyword search, Your Learning Journey, today's next step, weekly focus, and topic-based tutorial tracks.
- Learning progress stays in the browser by default. Signed-in users can explicitly enable private account sync, merge devices, disable sync, or erase their history.
- Du'a Library lets you search, save, and copy du'as privately while clearly flagging anything still awaiting source review.
- Use Ask Privately when you need a human response but do not want to create a public post.
- If you include an email and consent to reply, an admin can send a private email response. Without email/consent, the team can review internally but cannot reply.
- Sign in with email, password, or passkey when you want subscriptions, profile controls, or community access.
- Complete sign-up/onboarding if you want to post in community spaces. Tier 0 is basic access; Tier 1+ posting needs approval.
- Use Safety Mode guidance if you need extra privacy around family, community, or location.
- Never post legal name, exact address, workplace, phone number, financial details, or private family conflict details in public threads.
- Use Near You for masjid discovery, but treat public map data as a starting point. Verified support badges mean admins have reviewed extra details.
- Use Imam Corner for qualified guidance paths, especially family, marriage, worship, and detailed fiqh questions.
- For urgent safety, abuse, self-harm, or medical emergencies, contact local emergency/professional support. Muslim Safe Space is not emergency support.
Sign In And Sign Up Flow
- Go to Continue / Sign up.
- Choose sign-in method: Passkey, Password, or Magic Link.
- After sign-in, complete Sign up for trust-tier access.
- Tier 0 requests are auto-approved. Tier 1+ requires moderation approval.
- Posting threads requires Tier 1+ approved sign-up (moderators/admin can bypass).
Shahada Recitation Controls
- Guided recitation includes speed control, pause/resume, and stop.
- Human recitation mode supports pace control for slower practice.
- Chunk replay remains available for repeat-practice.
Menu And Dropdown Behavior
- Dropdown menus close when tapping/clicking outside.
- This is applied to account menu and top-nav “More” menu for consistent behavior.
- Top menu includes a compact search icon for quick jump to community post search.
Convert-Friendly Masjid Discovery
The Near You feature can do more than show nearby masjids. Some results may include convert-friendly support details when Muslim Safe Space has additional information for that listing.
- Badges and score signals can show support such as Shahada help, new Muslim classes, Imam availability, and beginner-friendly environment.
- A verified badge may appear when listing details have been reviewed more carefully.
- If a result only shows a generic tag like
Masjid or Islamic Center, that usually means it is still an unenriched map result. - Users can help improve listings with the Suggest Update action on each card.
- Suggestions do not go live immediately. They go into moderation first.
